We are participants in the B&H Affiliate Program and the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, both affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to B&H, Adorama, MPB, KEH, Amazon.com and affiliated sites, which are the retailers we have partnered with to bring you the best gear for your filmmaking needs.

What we buy vs. what’s sent to us
I bought all the cameras in the compatibility library, as well as the trust strip, with my own money, either at retail prices or used prices, and none of these are press loans, manufacturer seed units, or sponsorship products.
If that should ever be the case for a specific product, I will note so in the review, and I will not hide it on this page.
Affiliate commissions don’t sway the review, and I don’t give a camera a better recommendation because one retailer pays more commission than another; although used gear retailers usually pay a lower commission rate than new gear retailers, I still link to them if they provide the better buying option.
Why we link to used-gear marketplaces
We’re linking to MPB and KEH since they tend to be the best places to find used and refurbished gear, which is often the best value for your dollar. Buying a used or refurbished camera or lens often makes more sense than buying a new one, providing a great way to try before you buy if you want to see whether a piece of gear will work with the gear you already have. We would still recommend buying used or refurbished from MPB and KEH even if we were not being compensated, as we were before.
